The least important are not forbidden to dream of great things, and even modestly to aim at them, according to the measure of their abilities.

The composers of the works performed within the framework of the four-day chamber music festival with the sub-title Turning Point range from Schubert to Bartók and Kurtág, and we will be able to welcome artists like Steven Isserlis, Viviane Hagner so highly commended by the Washington Post, Jörg Widmann who equally qualifies as a composer and a clarinettist, the Norwegian violinist-composer Henning Kraggerud or one of Europe’s most sought-after cellist, Christoph Richter. „The festival focuses on various types of turning points loosely associated with the composers’ professional, private and everyday life, but also addresses turning points between two epochs, for instance by concentrating on composers living and working at the boundary of two eras.  We are trying to inspire ourselves and our audience to revisit this multifaceted concept.” – said Dénes Várjon in an interview in connection with the motto taken from the Klaus Mann’s novel, The Turning Point.
