The most important class, however, for me and for hundreds of other Hungarian musicians, was the chamber-music class. From about the age of fourteen, and until graduation from the Academy, all instrumentalists except the heavy-brass players and percussionists had to participate in this course. Presiding over it for many years was the composer Leó Weiner, who thus exercised an enormous influence on three generations of Hungarian musicians.

Liszt Academy Ticket Office Moved to Its Old-New Place

We wish to inform our valued audience that from 1 December 2013 the ticket office of the Liszt Academy Concert Centre will operate in the renewed Liszt Academy main building at 8, Liszt Ferenc Square.

The ticket office located adjacent to the main entrance of the Liszt Academy is open Monday to Sunday 11 AM – 6 PM. In addition to the general opening hours, the ticket office will also be open on concert days, from one hour before the beginning of the performance to the end of the first interval.

In our ticket offices tickets are available for the programs organized by the Liszt Academy Concert Centre as well as for most hosted productions. You may pay with cash or credit card, but we also accept OTP and MKB Szép Kártya, and Sodexo and Ticket Culture&Sport vouchers (we are now working on the acceptance procedure of the K&H Szép Kártya).
