Andrej Korobejnyikov (piano)

Born in Dolgoprudny just north of Moscow, Andrei Korobeinikov began playing the piano at the age of five. His remarkable abilities led him to give his first solo recital at the Baku State Academy of Music in Azerbaijan when he was just eight years old. In 2006, aged 19, he graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatoire, achieving such heights at the final exam that the last person to do so in his age group was none other than Rachmaninov himself, more than a century earlier. He pursued a postgraduate course at the Royal College of Music in London, which he completed with the special prize established by president of the academy, Prince Charles. Andrei has given acclaimed concerts – solo and chamber – in 45 countries on four continents, in the company of top conductors and musicians. As well as spending a good part of his life giving concerts, he has also been a qualified lawyer since the age of 17 and has published many articles in Russian professional journals. He speaks three foreign languages and in his free time develops his own official website.
