I am not exaggerating when I say that, whatever I achieved as a musician, I owe more to Leó Weiner than to anyone else. ... To me, he remains an outstanding example of what a musician should be.

The very poplular season series Complete Works Live awaits the fans of the Classical period with two types of subscriptions: in a six-part series, musicians of worldwide acclaim will be interpreting  Schumann’s complete chamber music works, while Vilmos Szabadi and Gábor Farkas will be playing Mozart’s violin and piano sonatas at three concert evenings.

Within the framework of the Talent Oblige series, the most promising students of the Liszt Academy will be presenting themselves to the audience: at three of concert events, young instrumentalists will be taking to the stage, while at one, works written by young composers at the beginning of their careers will be featured. Attila Sztán, Gergely Devich, Balázs Demény, Mira Farkas and Kata Scheuring are artists who have been awarded prestigious international prizes and have performed in renowned concert halls despite their young age.

As in previous years, this year’s kamara.hu festival will again host the top chamber musicians of the world, who will delight their audience with some popular chamber music compositions from all over the world. The festival, which was founded by Izabella Simon and Dénes Várjon, will be focussing on Hermann Hesse’s symbolically overloaded novel The Glass Bead Game, for which the author was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1946.  In addition to the chamber music events, Izabella Simon’s children concert is also open to young audiences.
