Julia Lezhneva needs no introduction to enthusiasts of early music – over the past few years, the  Hungarian public  has had several opportunities to marvel at her crystal-clear, silky voice, magnificent coloratura and richly emotional expressiveness. The fairy tale-like career of the Russian soprano started just ten years ago, in 2010, when Kiri Te Kanawa invited her to appear and she took a sensational win in the Royal Albert Hall in London at the Classical Brit Awards. This time, the singer – who is in her early thirties – arrives at the Liszt Academy with Venice Baroque Orchestra, masters of the 17-18th century repertoire. They are conducted by Andrea Marcon, the founding harpsichordist-musicologist. The core of the programme is made up of arias by Vivaldi, Graun and Händel, and baroque concertos in a glorious production featuring instrumental soloists of the ensemble.

We would like to inform our audience that the concert by Julia Lezhneva and the Venice Baroque Orchestra will be postponed due to illness. The new date of the performance is 13 March 2021, 7:30 p.m. The price of tickets purchased will be automatically refunded to our online customers, and tickets purchased at the ticket office can be redeemed at the place of purchase.
