Brahms: Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 1 in G major, Op. 78
Brahms: Sonata for Cello and Piano No. 2 in F major, Op. 99
Brahms: Piano Trio No. 1 in B major, Op. 8

Daniel Hope (violin), Claudio Bohórquez (cello), Péter Nagy (piano)

Artists from different parts of the world gather in the Grand Hall in order to play three keynote works from the wonderfully beautiful chamber music of Brahms. The international career of Daniel Hope kicked off in the early 2000s as violinist of the legendary Beaux Arts trio, and was then fulfilled as a soloist. The German cellist Claudio Bohórquez of South American heritage is one of the most significant representatives of his generation, winner of numerous international competitions, and it is no accident that he is called one of the greatest artistic heirs of Pablo Casals. Their chamber partner Péter Nagy needs little introduction since he has been an active participant in Hungarian music for decades. However, this is not the first time that these three most excellent artists have met: their combined music-making can be heard on a recording and now we have the chance to enjoy the experience live.
