I am not exaggerating when I say that, whatever I achieved as a musician, I owe more to Leó Weiner than to anyone else. ... To me, he remains an outstanding example of what a musician should be.

Arrangements, as well as contemporary works and traditional percussion pieces, have always played an important role in the repertoire of the Amadinda Percussion Group. In the concert set up jointly with students of the Liszt Academy, works by Gibbons, Bach, Bartók, Ravel and Debussy are performed, pieces typically written for keyboard instruments, the arrangement of which for melodic percussion instruments is an apparently obvious transformation. Bartók’s famous pizzicato movement from his fourth quartet holds out the promise of a truly extraordinary and special experience: the percussive character of Bartókian music is manifested to the senses. The concert also features a world premiere: the percussion trio of Dániel Láposi, the young percussionist, composer and an artist experimenting with innovative concert forms, winner of the most recent UMZF Composer Competition – grand orchestra category. The performance of this piece is as dramatic for the eyes as it is for the ears.
