Visit the unique Art Nouveau building of the Liszt Academy! Following a comprehensive refurbishment concluded in 2013, all decorations and details in the concert hall - a shrine of music history - were restored to their original condition as built in 1907. Join our guided tour and marvel at the splendour of the Grand Hall, the elegance of the Small Hall, now known as the György Solti Chamber Hall, and see the fresco entitled Fountain of Art, one of the most significant works of art of the Hungarian Art Nouveau, in the upstairs foyer. Our professional guides will shed light on the mysteries of the building and guests can find out where the spirit of music lives. The tour of the building ends with a mini concert performed by a student of the Liszt Academy.

“We visited the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music 2 times during our stay in Budapest. Once to tour the music conservatory/concert halls during the day (daily tours are offered in English with a bonus performance at the conclusion of your tour) and a second visit to attend an evening piano recital.
The tour was fantastic (classical music fan here) and at the conclusion, we were treated to a performance by a wonderful pianist who was a graduate of the academy. The piano recital was held at night as was absolutely wonderful.
The building itself is an absolutely stunning work of art - if you like Art Nouveau, you will be completely blown away by the beauty of the building. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area (centrally located right off Andrassy – Ferenc Liszt Square).”

GUARANTEED TOURS
The Liszt Academy offers guaranteed tours for individual visitors in Hungarian and English. The guided tours are 50 minute long and include a mini concert performed by a student of the Liszt Academy. Tickets for the guaranteed guided tours of the building can be purchased at the ticket office or online (by clicking on the event below) prior to the start of the tours.

TOURS FOR GROUPS
Guided tours of the building for groups are by prior arrangement. Guided tours in foreign languages are available: in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Romanian. Groups must have minimum 9 people and maximum 36 people.

DISCOUNTS
Students with a valid student ID and visitors over 65 (appropriate ID required), as well as people with disabilities and their carers are entitled to a 50% discount.
Family discount – 10% discount on the price of all tickets purchased for 2 adults and 2 children (up to 18 years old).
Prices include 27% VAT and the tour guide fee.
