The training I received at the Academy was difficult and at times harsh, but those who survived the experience emerged as real musicians.

Sir Georg Solti 2020 – The Little Prince

Love, friendship, responsibility, sensitivity, closeness to nature and death - the spring of 2020 gave us the opportunity to reinterpret these words, which often lost their power in our daily rush. Life urged every one of us to look deep into ourselves and, by recalling the purity of the childish soul, find a way to move forward in life and search for a solution to the world’s problems. Izabella Simon and Dénes Várjon believe that this time around we have to travel inwards, and not so much outwards to find the solution. Just like in The Little Prince… The chamber music festival organised by the Liszt Academy,, will help us embark on this journey this November; this year the theme of the festival is the world-famous novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, born 120 years ago. Due to the existing circumstances, this exciting and intimate interplanetary journey, without an age limit and lasting for three days, will exclusively feature the young talents and legendary artists of Hungarian musical life. Depending on how deep you dig in the strata, classical music and The Little Prince both have a message to convey to all of us.
