János Bálint (flute)
Danubia Orchestra Óbuda
Conductor: Oliver von Dohnányi

The first part starts with the flute, and ends with it as well – although in one we hear it coming from the orchestra, and in the other from front of stage. The instrument can do everything in profundity and heights, just as Prokofiev ploughed everything he learnt from Romanticism into his own half-Russian, half-European world; moreover, it is perhaps his finest symphony.
