The most important class, however, for me and for hundreds of other Hungarian musicians, was the chamber-music class. From about the age of fourteen, and until graduation from the Academy, all instrumentalists except the heavy-brass players and percussionists had to participate in this course. Presiding over it for many years was the composer Leó Weiner, who thus exercised an enormous influence on three generations of Hungarian musicians.

Success: Liszt Academy wins ‘the Gold Standard Award’ by Best Print Hungary

‘The Gold Standard Award’ in the category of ‘Periodicals’ was awarded by Best Print Hungary to Liszt Academy for the September-December, 2018 and January-June, 2019 issues of Liszt Academy Concert Magazine. The goal of the competition is to honour and present the finest products of the Hungarian print communications.
