The most important class, however, for me and for hundreds of other Hungarian musicians, was the chamber-music class. From about the age of fourteen, and until graduation from the Academy, all instrumentalists except the heavy-brass players and percussionists had to participate in this course. Presiding over it for many years was the composer Leó Weiner, who thus exercised an enormous influence on three generations of Hungarian musicians.

Liszt Academy opening hours over the Easter holidays

We kindly inform our visitors that on 19, 20, 21 April, no guided tours will be held in the Main Building of the Liszt Academy, and the ticket office on Liszt Ferenc Square will also be closed. The ticket office will open on 22 April at 10 a.m. Online ticket purchase is available anytime over the Easter holidays.
