The most important class, however, for me and for hundreds of other Hungarian musicians, was the chamber-music class. From about the age of fourteen, and until graduation from the Academy, all instrumentalists except the heavy-brass players and percussionists had to participate in this course. Presiding over it for many years was the composer Leó Weiner, who thus exercised an enormous influence on three generations of Hungarian musicians.

Opening hours and guided tours of the Liszt Academy during Spring season

We kindly inform our visitors that the ticket office of the Liszt Academy will be closed on 30 March and on 1, 21 May. 

On and around the Eastern Holiday the guided tours of the Main Building of the Liszt Academy on Liszt Ferenc Square will be as follows:

on 30 March: no tours of the building will be held and the ticket office will be closed

from 1-2 April onward, the daily tours of the building will take place in the usual arrangement.
