Out of the 11 finalists, the only Hungarian, Szilvia Vörös has won the Grand Prix of the I Éva Marton International Singing Competition.

Over 60 young artists, including 9 Hungarians, are expected to the I Éva Marton International Singing Competition, the first major international contest self-organized by the Liszt Academy to take place between 15-21 September 2014.

Liszt Academy’s new corporate identity created for the Fall 2013 reopening won the most prestigious international award of the design industry.

For the first time in many years, the renewed music palace on Liszt Ferenc Square hosted the school opening ceremony of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music on the last day of August.

The contest organized by the Philharmonia Hungary Concert Agency to be held between 4-13 September 2014 has received applications from 157 young cellists from 38 countries, among them nearly 20 students of the Liszt Academy.
