A képzés az Akadémián igen nehéz, időnként igen kemény volt: aki végigcsinálta, igazi zenészként került ki onnan.

A few years ago, Sára Tímár was worthy winner of the Junior Prima Prize in the category Hungarian folk art and education, since she is a unique sounding and experimental singer of her generation. Although she took a performer and teacher diploma at the Department of Folk Music of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, her interests also extend to the boundaries of folk music. Kodály’s early writings suggested that variations surviving in folk music could prove to be important sources in the authentic performance of notated music history memories. Sára Tímár regularly communicates this conclusion in practice in various formations playing historical music. She came into contact with the world of sung poetry as a member of Sebő ensemble, while she seeks the creative opportunities of the folk vocal sound as a founder of Dalinda vocal ensemble. This concert features material from her first solo album with the participation of many top performers in Hungarian folk music. The common thread running throughout the programme is that leit motif of folklore: love. Folk songs modelling the complex emotional world of human relationships with beautiful symbols also have relevance for audiences of the 21st century.
